I wasn't expecting a metallic ink, but I was not expecting orange either. This ink is just a plain old muted orange ink; not ugly, but nothing about it is particularly attractive t... view moreo me. At least it is decently saturated & not too light or washed out... If you are a fan of orange ink, this one is an OK color I guess.. a little 'creamier' than most, like a saturated creamsicle. The problem is, it is supposed to be bronze, not orange! I usually buy the LE inks to match the LE pens & I've always liked the surprise - just not this time. I regret not getting cartridges to try first instead, in fact I kinda wish I hadn't bothered with the pen or ink at all this time. Also, compared to other 'orange' inks I have on hand, the Lamy EF nib writes much smoother and gives a noticeably finer line with the Iroshizuku Yu-yake ink, for example, than with this Bronze, and is a better match to the pen, I think. No reflection on Vanness though.... they were excellent about notifying stock & shipping out super fast! My disappointment falls on me for not doing my homework..! view less
