Some Van Diemans ink colors has been reformulated. Van Dieman's is a proud Australian company that has made a concerted effort to improved their inks formula's and sourcing. Van Diemans inks will consist of at least 90 percent Australian ingredients which will allow them to proudly state and be labeled as made in Australia.

The Night series was the first to use the reformulation. The list right now consists of the Wilderness Series and 5 of the Underwater series more Information to come.  We will have new swatches up as soon as they are available.  

Van Dieman's is a small family business based in Launceston, Tasmania, that is passionate about the environment, and crafting quality inks that are inspired from nature, specifically related to Tasmania. Peter and Belinda Rix are the husband and wife duo that own and run Van Dieman's Ink. Both lovers of fountain pens and ink, they wanted to make this passion a full-time occupation. After retailing fountain pens in Australia together for some years, Belinda made the decision to develop their own fountain pen ink, taking inspiration from much of the beauty found in Tasmania to design each ink, and to create the artwork for the boxes and labels. These high-quality fountain pen inks have been tested for viscosity and flow quality and are suitable for all major brands of fountain pens, and are also suitable for dip pens and brushwork.
