Van Dieman's The Wilderness Series- Firetail Finch

Van Diemans Wilderness Series has been reformulated. 

Van Dieman’s Firetail Finch from the Wilderness Series is a medium scarlet red with low shading. It dries in 15 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has a slightly dry flow. Van Dieman’s ink is made in Australia.

Van Dieman's is a proud Australian company that has made a concerted effort to improved their inks formula's and sourcing. Van Diemans inks will consist of at least 90 percent Australian ingredients which will allow them to proudly state and be labeled as made in Australia.

The Night series was the first to use the reformulations.  We will have new swatches up as soon as they are available. 

The Original  formula will be until all stock is sold.

This ink is a unique and vivid red, inspired by the The Beautiful Firetail, a native bird species endemic to Tasmania and the neighboring islands, standing out with his lustrous red tail. This finch, and many other of Tasmania’s fauna remain abundant, due to the vast stretches of wilderness left untouched.

Van Dieman's Wilderness Series is ten fountain pen inks inspired by the majestic, beautiful and ofttimes humbling wonders that await in the Tasmanian wilds. As an extension of our original Van Dieman's Colors Tasmania, and as a series unto itself, we created the Wilderness Series to encapsulate the natural colors of this awe-inspiring and untouched southern land.
