I bought two bottles of Aurora ink of different colors at the same time; viola/purple and blu nero/blue black.
I’d like to give my highly personal and subjective rec... view moreension on them.
Common denominators :
Brause #180 3/4mm nib
Clairefontaine white vélan 90g
Both inks are smooth writers, dry fast, and do not show thru.
Viola : the color is too ‘red’ to my liking. It looks very similar to J. Herbin Larme de cassis. When you compare it with Waterman Violet tendresse, the latter looks, by contrast, very blue. This doesn’t affect star counts. “One man’s trash, another man’s treasure,” you know.
Blu nero : A little too ‘black’, especially compared with Parker BB. I bought the latter a month earlier from Vaneness and I like it so much that it’s now my goto ink.
The best part dealing with Vanness is everytime I place an order is that they push order out the door very fast, and goods are well packed with just paper without using any piece of plastic junk that’s something I really, really appreciate in this suffocating world with plastic. Keep up the excellent work at Vanness ! view less
