Best Shading Brown Ink.
Easily my favorite brown. When you can get a brown that shades and sheens? It's a win win. I don't know how Pilot makes the ink sheen a green/gold color, but all I know is that I l... view moreove looking at it. If you love brown inks, stop reading this and go to checkout! Ha.

Red/purple brown rather than chocolate
A nice ink, but only looks like a true brown in the darkest-pooling spots. Strong purple undertones lean it almost towards a cool burgundy rather than a warm nut-brown; I did not g... view moreet any chocolate browns out of it. Mildly wet with good flow. I often use this ink to add earth tones or mute my own shades of pink, purple, and olive green. Not exactly my favorite, but that's personal preference. view less

Not my cup of tea, but was surprised by the sheen when dry
I was comparing which brown I was going to buy a bottle of by buying mass samples, &was writing with each in a different pen, so i could immediately compare them. I saw the red/bro... view morewn in the ink while wet & dismissed it because i was looking for a pure brown (decided on Noodler's Standard Brown if you're curious). Later looking back on the ink to see past notes, i saw some glorious green sheen in the words! The sample picture does not do it justice, if you're looking for a brown, you should consider this one among them to compare and be amazed. God bless you reader, EPH 2:8-9 view less
