IWI Great Cold from the standard collection is a medium grape purple ink with medium shading. It dries in 5 seconds in a medium nib on Rhodia and has an average flow. IWI ink is made in Taiwan.
This series of inks contains 24 colors to represent the 24 Solar Terms that represent the annual changes of seasons and helps guide agricultural activities through observing the position of the sun. The twenty-fourth and last Solar Term is around January 20th, and is marked as being the coldest time of the year. The cold eases up when the Solar Term cycle begins again.
