I have been using this ink in a medium nib Pilot Metropolitan that can be a rather dry writer. The KWZ Maroon #2 writes beautifully! It's not overly wet (the line is pretty thin) ... view morebut it is very smooth and well lubricated, with gorgeous shading and metallic gold sheen! The sheen is easy to see in good lighting and really elevates the look of the ink, but does not overwhelm it. (The sheen does fade with time, though.) The maroon color looks sophisticated and beautiful. I also really enjoy the vanilla scent of the ink. The drying time is a bit slow, so beware of smears, but it does dry to the touch in about a minute and a half. view less

But the better characteris... view moretics of this ink are the grat color, it resembles blood in an ridiculous maner (it evens darkens on drying as well as blood coagulates) and its great smell (i don't know if it is scented but it has a characteristic vanilla-like smell). view less
