Red fountain pen ink, made for the TAG stationery store in Kyoto, Japan, based on traditional dyeing techniques.
This ink color is reminiscent of the torii that line the path to the Fushimi Inari shrine.

My favorite red ink.
I am not a big "red" person. It's never been my color. It doesn't look good on me, I don't like red things much, but I wanted a bright red for coloring/marking/contrast writing so ...view moreI randomly went through and got a bunch of samples. Knowing nothing of this brand I got one of this.
It turned out to be my favorite red ink hands down replacing Monteverde Strawberry shortcake as a very close second. The inks are very close... Although this is a much dryer and slightly brighter note saturated red where the other is a very wet ink and slightly less bright. I love this ink for my glass pens because if it's dryer nature it is almost too well behaved for a fountain pen ink where the other likes to run if you don't use a very careful amount so that one is usually in a pen. If course white lightning can make this for as good as anything.
It is one ink there everyone should at least have a sample in their collection. view less
