These uniquely colorful piston fillers are sure to catch your eye and be pleasing in the hand. The Narwhal Schuylkill stands out from the Narwhal Original by featuring an ink window that allows you to monitor your ink reserve. Unlike many fountain pens with ink windows, the Schuylkill's design allows the window to be visible even when capped. Something unique about Narwhal Pens is that everything in house.
This pen is named after the Schuylkill River that runs through the state of Philadelphia, keeping with the marine theme of Narwhal Pens.

The Perfect Blue Pen
Nice looking and smooth writing. Still not sure if it posts or not. Colors are great and the pen feels good in the hand. Great service from Vanness!

Turned out just like I hoped it would
It looks just as nice in person as it did online and it doesn’t feel like cheap plastic. It writes smoothly and hasn’t been finicky. And the piston filler is easy to use. No complaints.

Recommended, with some caveats.
The pen is a fun color with mainly swirls of blue and gray that appear to have pearlescent depth. It appears to be well-built. The nib has some pencil-like feedback, which I actu...view moreally prefer. There are two things I don't like about this pen. First, you cannot post the pen. While it fits well in my hand when I am writing with it, it is light enough that it would benefit from posting. Second, it cannot (as far as I can tell) be disassembled. The nib and feed are removable, but you cannot unscrew the barrel from the section (though you can see the screw threads) and I don't think the piston can be removed for easier cleaning. Because it can't be effectively cleaned, I'm going to stick with just blue inks for this pen (Diamine Asa Blue is an excellent match). All that aside, I would still recommend this pen. Its pleasant writing experience and bright colors make it a worthwhile buy. view less
