Love This Shading Ink
Not even a fan of yellows and light oranges, but I am glad I caved to internet suggestions and tried this ink out. Smooth flow from dry and wet pens (M thru 1.1 stub) and gorgeous ...view moreshading. Truly impressed with the lovely gradients produced by this beautiful product. Not just limited purely to where ink pools; also shades in parts of each penstroke you may not expect. Really impressed with this Noodler's ink, and of course it's a tremendous dollar value. view less

Bright yellow-orange ink that's made to shade!
I couldn't believe that a review hadn't been written on this fabulous ink. For the few out there who've yet to try it, do yourself a favor and get a sample. If your not a fan of ...view morelight colored inks nor never tried a yellow or orange ink, try this one and you can probably forget about the rest, because yes, it is that good. If you don't really know what a great shading ink does, this one will leave you with no doubt. You don't even need a flexible fountain pen to enjoy the shading, although it will appear even more pronounced. Your lightest strokes will appear a light yellow and your heaviest strokes will appear a a golden deep orange. All the shades in between those two colors as well Varying the weight of your strokes, changing pens or nibs will vary the look as well. This ink is one of THE BEST shading inks by any standard. It is the gold standard by which other shading inks aspire. It reminds me of our beautiful little state flowers the California Poppy, which have all these glorious colors too. On a cloudy day, it warms me like sunshine in a bottle. I find it difficult to write anything but happy thoughts down when using this ink....therapy, in a bottle? I make no guarantees, but it's hard not to smile while your writing with at least two happy colors at once! It does have its limitations; it shows best on bright white papers, but looks warm on bright ivory sheets too. It's not the ink to use to send a letter to Grandma whose eyesight is not so good anymore. It's not for envelopes nor is it an appropriate ink to pen a letter to your boss at work....but for jotting in your journal or sending a cheerful note to a friend, a get well card to your sister or for using in a brush pen to add some flowers to your note cards, you get the idea? Everyone needs one fun ink that's not appropriate for anything but that - this is that ink! Try a tester, or two before buying a bottle. Yes it is bright, but it's also made to shade. ENJOY! view less
