I love the Platinum Preppy pens! Such smooth writers and cheap enough to buy one for every ink color. Easy to eyedropper with silicone grease and #5 O-rings. Use caution tightening...view more as barrel can crack! view less
I use these guys for work. I use both Platinum's cartridges and DeAtramentis document inks in them. These pens are the perfect work horse when you want a fountain pen but you don't...view more want to worry about something happening to it. All of the inks these guys come with isn't waterproof but at the price of a 4 pack of carbon black carts for less than 10 bucks you can get a tremendous amount of writing done.... The finer the nib the longer the ink lasts. Again.... If you try and clean one and it won't budge just grab another and you're good to go. With different colors and different sizes you can mix and match different parts from different pens to suite your taste and needs. And these pens are fairly tough and can be "eye dropper" converted. For all the times I've dropped it stepped on one of these the only time it ever cracked is when I was putting the barrel back on and overtightened it and it cracked at the threads....I taped it up, popped a fresh cartridge in it and still use that pen at work a month later.
