Beautiful ink....
I'm not sure what else I can add to all the wonderful reviews below.... This really is a great ink and a beautiful sheen that even flows and rights well on Mead 5 star composition ...view morenotebook paper with a rather troublesome Lamy 1.1mm stub that came uneven out of the box and had to be readjusted which I can't say for all inks on cheap paper.... Along with the reviews below I thought I should share the packaging.... It just comes in a fairly genetic bottle with a sticker on top to identify it.... But it being a dark durable plastic it still protects the ink well and the wonderful people at Vaness make sure to truck in in safe and sound for shipping. All in all a beautiful value for the the investment! view less

Gateway Ink
I'd have to say this offering from Robert Oster is what really opened up my eyes to the great vibrancy of fountain pen inks. It is just a fantastic turquoisy-blue with a beautiful ...view morering of red sheen around the edges. It is very aptly named. Of all my fountain pen inks, I've used this the most and only have half a bottle remaining. It is a very well behaved ink for both pen and paper as most of RO inks are. Flow is good and is a wetter ink. This helps with achieving sheen. The sheen isn't extensive and is really only noticeable with broad nibs or very wet pens. It's a great ink that I just enjoy using all the time! view less

Beautiful Blues
Fire & Ice is a beautiful bright blue ink. It's on the lighter side but still dark enough to be used as an everyday ink. The ink plays wonderfully and has some lovely shading. The sheen on this ink is very subtle unless you have paper that doesn't absorb the ink as much as a typical notebook. This is a gorgeous ink, highly recommended, and I love it, but, if you're looking for an ink that shines (literally) with a strong sheen regardless of paper and nib size I would recommend Organics Studio's Henry David Thoreau Walden Pond Blue: ...view morevanness1938.com/products/organics-studio-masters-of-writing-henry-david-thoreau-walden-pond-blue?variant=44069685702
