Sepia? Not quite
This ink is a little browner than Kobe #16 Nada Brown and Aurora Sepia, almost like Iroshizuku Yama-Guri. The ink dries flat, almost muted. It has some shading. It has no sheen but...view more does generate a dark outline where the ink pools in heavily saturated areas. I’ve had no issues with flow or saturation, and it performed well in all my pen and paper combo, though I find it more appealing on white TR 52 gsm paper in a wet nib. Even if the paper is white, it’s not bright white or Rhodia-Clairefontaine white. I find that cream or ivory paper makes the ink lean too yellow for my liking.
