Conklin pens was originally founded in 1898 in Toldeo Ohio. Conklin's success and fame is due to the invention of the Crescent Filer which as the first truly functional automatic filling mechanism.  The company was reincarnated in 2000 with the production of pens that reflect the design of the old models.
