What is a Sheen Ink ?
Sheen is caused by particles of the ink’s dye collecting or pooling after the water in the ink dries. This is similar to the color affect you would see in an oil slick. A major factor in sheen is slow dry times this is critical to sheen inks because it means pooling and collecting of ink which means more ink saturation and more sheen.
Sheen, shimmer, and pigmented inks have the potential to settle over time. To ensure optimal performance, gently shake the bottles or use a clean syringe to remix your inks. This process will ensure you get the most out of your ink’s properties.
Note: you do not want to create bubble in your ink so make sure to be very gentle while mixing.
