We're excited to be part of this year's DC Pen Show for stationery and fountain pen lovers! You'll find our four tables stocked with a variety of inks, notebooks and pens just outside the ballroom as you enter the show—but that’s not all.

Make sure to head downstairs to the Vanness Pen Lounge—located in the basement—for a completely different experience.

This year, the Vanness Pen Lounge is all about connection, learning, and play. We’re offering free seminars and hands-on sessions covering topics like fountain pen basics, notebook systems, and more. It’s also the perfect place to relax, meet fellow enthusiasts, and try out new tools.

Free activities all weekend in the lounge include:

• The DIY 2025 Kaweco Pen System – build and customize your own pen

• Notebook Systems 101 with Joe of The Gentleman Stationer

• Ink testing and hangout time with Lisa (@OliveOctopusInk)

• A chance to test a variety of intro-level fountain pens to find the perfect match for your writing style

• Learn how to care for your new pens in Fountain Pen Basics classes offered several times each day ( and learn a bit about ink)

We’re also hosting a few special paid classes this year, including sessions with Ana of The Well-Appointed Desk.
