Wonderful ink with a beautiful color. I can get shading and it seems to have a good flow. I also love the water resistance of the ink. It does not seem to be harsh on any of my pen... view mores so far either. view less
Black and Red, but not black-red, very water resistant
From a lovely sharp, but not irritating red with black halo, to almost dark cherry, it runs the gamut of shading in red/black variation as well as being unpredictable as to when th... view moree black shows up, sometimes leaving lovely red roses all alone amongst the darker roses. It glides well, and everyone of my friends who tried it loved it. I like it very much, but I'm more of an autumn kind of guy when it comes to favorite colors. This ink does not feather much at all, not even on card stock. One of the surprising things about this ink was its water resistance. I gave it the ten minute dunk test, and it did bleed out a bit of red, but afterwards, it was legible, hardly any blur, and still looked like black and red. Thin lines stayed, and other than needing rinsed a little to get the red cloud off of it, this ink was very water resistant, giving it a score of 90% water proofness. As a poet this is important to me. This ink is good for poetry and writing because just dropping it in some water will not erase your works. I recommend trying this ink. view less
The color variation in the way this ink shades is absolutely beautiful! The darkest shade of this ink shows up as a red-violet shade of black, but using this with a flex pen gets ... view moreyou a satisfying amount of shading, with the ink seemingly transforming from an almost wine color to its darkest tone with each upstroke and downstroke! Regardless of the writing nib, the writing experience is ultimately satisfying as you watch the ink change color within a single stroke of the pen. I would write with this ink in my pen every minute of every day if carpal tunnel didn't exist. view less
