Decent blue-black
This is a very dark black with a hint of blue. Can be mistaken for black at first glance.

Not what I was expecting
I was expecting a different colour for Robert Oster Blue-Black. I had seen reviews mentioning that this Blue-Black had purple undertones. My sample showed none. What it did show wa...view mores a blue-black with some teal undertone and red sheen. It did, however, reveal some purple colour in the swabs: you see, the ink separated as though it was a dual-tone coloured ink. In certain parts, it was a faint purple, in others, a blue resembling that of Waterman Mysterious Blue. Interesting, but not what I was expecting. I shook the sample and did the swab again, with the same result. I find it dries flat on white TR 52 gsm paper. I saw no shading and the ink had an average to high flow, depending on my pen and paper combinations. Subjectively, not my idea of a blue-black.
