Truce Turquoise fountain pen ink made by P.W. Akkerman pen store in The Hague.
A rich true blue turquoise with very nice shading properties. A staff favorite at Vanness.
Originally made to celebrate their 100th anniversary, this ink comes in a vintage-style bottle with a narrow neck with a marble stopper, to create a well at the top to aid in filling pens.

Not what I was expecting. That's a good thing!
I was expecting P.W. Akkerman #11 Trêves Turquoise to be greener than this, based on reviews I saw of this ink, using my screen. What a pleasant surprise it was, to see it on the b...view moreluer end of the spectrum of turquoise inks. It does have green in it–or yellow, if you prefer–but not enough for me to look elsewhere should I want to write with turquoise ink. It is similar to Scribo Capri Blu and R&K Blu Mare, and to Kobe #26 Wadamasaki Blue, which in turn, is more saturated. Iroshizuku Ama-Iro is bluer, Montblanc Unicef Blue is greener, and JH Bleu Pervenche is darker and greener. Keep in mind I use TR 52 gsm paper. I find Pelikan Edelstein Topaz to be bluer and a bit more saturated than Trêves Turquoise. The ink played well with all my nibs but one: my 1911S 21kt H-M, but I almost never write with this nib because I don’t like it much (I’m being kind, here). Trêves Turquoise is bright enough for me to use for markup and annotations, and to write short letters. If I had to buy a bottle of turquoise, I would hesitate between Trêves Turquoise and Scribo Capri Blu, without discounting R&K Blu Mare. But long live samples! view less

First time trying this ink.
I love everything about it the color, the quality of the ink itself and the bottle is a work of art. I will be buying more!
